I've just release the 1.2.3.
The RPM-based distro's users does not have to care about it, nothing is
changed since the 1.2.2 for them.
dpkg-based distro's users really install this new version. Now, (I
made only several test), all the bugs related to dpkg support are
closed. One problem remain: the execution time is far longer than
before, according to my test. The only way to fix the trouble is to
force addition of the version number to each package file. It requires
more time to get a list, so.
If you have idea to optimize this, please, tell.
Do not hesitate to send a mail about your experience.
Something nice, if you update your copy of pdbv, is to try
time pdbv /var/www
before and after the update.
One thing came to my mind: the function that output the list is called
several time. But the list does not change. The list should be stored
in a var and the function called only one time. I'll fix this for the
next version.
Florian, I guess that your already on your journey. Once you come
back, you get forget the debian package for the 1.2.2 :)) This release
is pretty useless but I havent planned the bug I found yesterday and
neither planned that I'll fix this today.
Thanks all,
