In Acrobat 6 Professional show the destinations tab: View>Navigation
Tabs>Destinations
For Help on this topic in the online "Complete Acrobat 6.0 Help", under
"Adding Navigation to Adobe PDF Documents" read the section "About
destinations."
It explains how to
display and sort destinations
create or delete destinations
create and link destinations in the same or another PDF document.
Basically you create a link by the same method as always but first the
destinations must be scanned or created as explained in the Help topic I
mentioned.
Then use the link tool and
Select Custom Link
Go to page in another document
Add, then under options choose
Use Named Destination
Also explained in the Help topic.

Georgia,
How would one link to a named destination in Acrobat 6.0? I can't seem
to find it in the actions list.
Thanks,
Chris

Chris,
Not sure if you have already received this response since I am on
digest. I
don't know how to highlight as you asked, but have you tried linking to
a
named destination? That should take users right to the section they are
interested in instead of the beginning of a document.

I am trying to figure out way to highlight text (section heading)
associated with a link. I am developing a manual using 6.0 Professional
and the document allows the user to drill-down to specific topics by
clicking on boxes in flow charts. Once the user drills-down to the
lowest
level, the links open detail text documents. These documents can have
multiple sections so I need to figure out a way to direct the user's
attention to the section related to the link they clicked on.
