Could you be more specific than "get mess"? Are the fonts correctly embedding in the PDF? Are you seeing the wrong font? What?
I'm using windows 2000 and XP, QuarkXpress 4.0 or 4.1, Acrobat 4.0. and greek fonts (from UB and Magenta).
Are you really using Acrobat 4 or is it 4.0.5?
Have you checked your Font embed settings? Are the fonts even embeddable?
What "virtual PS printer" are you using?
There is SO MUCH missing information that it's impossible to help...
