It sounds to me as if the presentations are using hi-res graphics and they're not being distilled using a downsampling distiller setting (Standard, Sreen, Smallest File Size, etc.) These are Distiller 6 settings, but if he's using 5 he can still go in and change (downsample) the image resolution to 150 or 72 dpi, if the images will not lose all their quality at that resolution. I just did an entire CD with 12 chapters of PP presentations and all the files combined were under 15 Mb. The graphics did not suffer, especially using Acrobat 6 with MS vector clip art. ~James Opinions expressed are mine, and we know what opinions are like... __________________________________________________________________ Hi: A co-worker asked me if I could help with a wierdness he experienced recently. He has many PowerPoint presentations which he has been asked to PDF and post on a web site which is the web site of a recently held conference. However, his first attempt was with a 49Kb PowerPoint presentation which, when he printed to Distiller, created a 35Mb!!! PDF. Can anyone suggest why this occurred and how to get around it? I don't have a copy of the presentation and he is in a meeting at the moment so until he is out, I can't provide a copy of the presentation.
