Consistency, but yes it bothers me too, esp. since you have to bring that up separately and it's NOT attached to the general properties. There's so much hidden in the properties toolbar too...
One more point that I've noticed: The Touch-up Text tool now works very smoothly, and quite a bit more quickly, in 6.0.
Yes, it's a complete rewrite of that tool/technology...If you like that, check out the new "Content" pane - hierarchical view of the page contents!
