Unfortunately, the icon path doesn't get passed with the FDF file.
You might want to look into using the
buttonGetIcon() method
(found under the Field object in the Acrobat _javascript_
reference) to retrieve the icon path, save the value into another
field that will export with the FDF and then use the
buttonSetIcon() method
to
recall the icon to the button.

Subject: RE: [PDF-Forms] How to make a "form-field" that inserts a photo-file?Hi Mira,I had a similar query but of a little advanced nature. I have already made buttonfield with event.target.buttonImportIcon(); in _javascript_ and I can import the icon also.But when I save it to .FDF and then if I want ot recall the same icon back in the button how do I do that? does this icon go to .fdf and get saved or it doesnt?Thanks in advance.Mehul

Hi Peter,
One solution would be to create a button field of the dimensions you
want the employee photo id to be. On the mouseUp event, put the
following _javascript_:
event.target.buttonImportIcon();
This will bring up a window in which the user can browse to the desired
file.
One caveat, the file selected must be a PDF so the photos need to be
converted to PDF before import.
Hope that helps,
Mira

Hi,
I am designing a form to be used for verifying peoples' identity for
digital certificates. The form already has fields for name, nationality,
e-mail, signature date, etc. The only thing missing is the ability for
the person filling out the form to *insert a photo-ID scan*.
Here's how I would like it to work:
1. click in predefined area where photo ID will be placed.
2. file selection dialog appears (This is where I'm stumped). :(
3. user selec! tes his/her photo ID scan file (preferably *any* size).
4. image is inserted into PDF file at predefined size and location.
Any suggestions would be very appreciated.
PS. If anyone needs to see the PDF file, just let me know. I can attach
it to a response. It is about 70k in size (too big for this list?).
