Hi, Robert I'm not sure I agree with your statement: "Any and all conversions from one program to another result in another opportunity for something getting mucked up in the process." We've had incredible success converting FRPs to PDF by using an HPLaserJet 4s PostScript driver. Of the hundreds of forms we've seen very few artwork problems in this conversion. I don't know if it's the marriage of that format (FRP) and that PostScript driver, but since we've started using it (years ago) we have not needed to change. "If it 'aint broke - don't fix it." Word, on the other hand, has almost always given me headaches in this regard. Go figure. -----Original Message----- From: Robert Ameeti [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: January 23, 2004 5:31 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [PDF-Forms] Forms Design program on the Mac? Well yes, it is all about the fields. I am not so concerned with the 'look' of the form as Word or most other programs can give me that, but rather then ability to easily create the fields and associated javascript validation and such. Forms programs will easily be able to create a form from a blank sheet with all the built in tools that you will need to complete a form to the very end. Creating text and manipulating javascript is just not natural nor easy with Acrobat 6 as it wasn't really designed to be a form creation tool per se but rather a program to enhance an existing document with form capabilities. As an interesting example though is the conversion of a Word document to pdf and the resulting wrap and such that happens when you make the pdf is the margins and such are not just right. Any and all conversions from one program to another result in another opportunity for something getting mucked up in the process. -- <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> Robert Ameeti You're not drunk if you can lie on the floor without holding on. - Dean Martin <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> To change your subscription: http://www.pdfzone.com/discussions/lists-pdfforms.html To change your subscription: http://www.pdfzone.com/discussions/lists-pdfforms.html
