Hey all,

Well, I thought this would be easy (I always preface my posts with that), but it turns
out it is not.

I made a simple PDF with a button on it to open the clipboard viewer. The action
behind the button is a simple "Execute Menu Item" type (it's not JavaScript, it's
simply an "Execute Menu Item" selection from the list of commands you can attach to
the field). Anyway, I put in the action of the button field to open the clipboard
viewer via "Execute Menu Item > Window > Show Clipboard". This works great on PC's
with full version of Acrobat and the Reader (I'm working on Win 2K systems here with
Acrobat Reader 5.1, and version 6.0, and Full Acrobat 5.0 amongst all of them).
However, it does not seem to work for Macs (had a friend test it). Probably the
obvious reason I would imagine is that there is no "Window > Show Clipboard" function
on the Mac. The clipboard viewer might be some place else.

I would like this PDF to be universal in that both Mac's and PC's can work on it
without excessive code changes. I'm sure there's a way to open the clipboard viewer
via Javascript (via "ExecMenuItem" perhaps), but I'm still uncertain if that would
work on a Mac.

To make matters worse, I really don't even HAVE a Mac around here to test on, so I
have to enlist the help of a friend who has a fancy I-book (snazzy little thing).

Anyone know of any way to open the clipboard viewer in a Mac that ALSO works on PC?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

THANKS!
