First ... Yes there is a way to fill in forms - and - to have security settings (we do it almost on a daily base) !
Second ... I have to know which version of Acrobat you are talking about as the settings are slightly different from version to version. Let assume that you have Acrobat 4.05 for example. The Standard Security settings there leave you 4 (four) options to check :
- no printing , - no change of document, - no (something like changing or modifying ...) - no cut and paste (highlighting & marking text).
WE usually uncheck (allow) the first 2 (two) mentioned ones.
Printing is allowed of course, what good is a form otherwise :-).
When the PDF has form fields to be filled, the setting for "Changing the document" need to be unchecked. Entering contents in a form fields is considered "Changing ..." . The document is still otherwise prevented from unauthorized manipulations.
Acrobat 5 or 6 have slightly different settings and version 6 differentiates even way more but the principle is in general the same .

They don't want to give me the password or a document without these safety settings. Is there any possibility to have something like the template functionality for my forms. In the form, there are two pages, attachment sheets. For every representation, there should be used an extra page from the attachment sheet. The best solution would be of course template pages, but, as mentioned above, is unfortunately not possible. I have tried to scan the forms, but the quality slackens trough the scan proceedings.
Has anyone an idea, what I could do?
