Well, we have
had a limited amount of success. It seems that I had to take all of the spaces
out of the pathname. (renaming a couple of folders on the server, no biggie).
But the .FDF file only seems to work for those who have mapped the server disk
as the same drive letter as the person who initiated the review.
I.E. - my
computer has the network drive mapped to drive Z:, so only those who also have
drive Z: as their server disk letter could open the file and save their
comments. Others got the "Can't find server" message. Our next step is to make
sure everyone maps the server disk to the same drive letter and see if the
theory pans out...
I was under
the impression that XP no longer needed to map the server to a drive letter and
relied instead on the IP address, but maybe that is a server setting to ensure
compatibility with those who are still using NT. I'll have to check with the IT
department on that.
