The default page size in distiller is 8.5" width and 11" Height also the resolution is 2400.
Should I change it to points now? I notice when I change to points it is 612 width and 792 Height.

What is your default tpage size in distiller?
Try changing it to 612x792 points, with your binding to the left and
resolution at 2400dpi.
