Thanks JoAnn. Nothing new shows on their site, but I will call Xerox. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of JoAnn Hogue Sent: Friday, September 05, 2003 8:53 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [PDF] Certain PDF scans won't open in Outlook 2000 The PDF list is a service provided by PDFzone.com | http://www.pdfzone.com __________________________________________________ ________________ Assuming you checked the Xerox website for updates that they might have issued to remain compatible with MS's update? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Gary Steffy Sent: Friday, September 05, 2003 5:04 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Pdfzone. Com Subject: [PDF] Certain PDF scans won't open in Outlook 2000 The PDF list is a service provided by PDFzone.com | http://www.pdfzone.com __________________________________________________ ________________ Hi folks, I've got Windows 2000, Outlook 2000 SR1, latest MS updates on security in place (just downloaded one last week, which is about the time the problem started -- uninstalled update, but did not fix), and Adobe Acrobat Professional (v6). For months, I could scan files on my Xerox Document Centre 425 and email directly to my account. A single click on the PDF attachment would open the file nicely. Since last week, I can still open PDF attachments from all other sources, but no longer from my Xerox machine. A single click now results in the "save to disk" or "open" window. If I try to open, I open into an empty window under C:\WINNT\system32. If I try to save, I get "Outlook cannot save the URL to a file. Path does not exist. Make sure the path is correct." If I try to move the file to the desktop or some other folder, I get, "Cannot create another system semaphore." I repaired Adobe Acrobat 6 last night. I uninstalled the XMSL (or whatever) update that MS installed last week. Still nothing. Any ideas?
