1) Make sure to have the Photoshop PlugIn "PDFFormat" from the Acrobat Folder installed
2) open the Photoshop Package Program by hollding the ctrl-key while klicking on Adobe Photoshop
3) in the just opened folder-windows you find an alias to Adobe Photoshop. Copy this Alias to the desktop
4) Now go into Acrobats Preferences for TouchUp and choose this just copied Alias as the prefered program for Image Editing.
Now try to edit an image using TouchUp
Yes, this tip allows to open an image with Photoshop and re-save-as, but you can't save the image back in the PDF with Acrobat 5...
Make sure that when the image to be edited is opened in Photoshop, do not assign or convert to a new profile. I have found that doing this has prevented me from closing the image and saving back to the original PDF.
