Could there be something embedded into a PDF that would override our own output settings?
Here's the deal: We received a PDF that we couldn't get to output any higher that 60 line screen, rather than our 180. We checked the images in Photoshop and they were all at least 146 lpi. There's a halftone screen info dialog box in Photoshop that has a check box that says "use printer's default screen" and that box was checked on all the images. That tells me that OUR settings should be used, but the fact that it didn't work also tells me that there's something in the PDF that cancels out that setting.
Without actually having the file in front of you, does anyone have any ideas? -- --------------------------------------------------- Carol Brooks, Coordinator of Electronic Advertising High Point Enterprise, High Point, N.C.
