We have Digipath 3 printing to a Docutech 135 with a NSPlus (very old) RIP.
To print Acrobat 5 or 6 files we print direct from Acrobat. We haven't
encountered any problems so far.

Cheers

> Our Print Unit is reporting problems sending PDF files generated in
Acrobat 6 to Xerox Digipath for automated printing. Their procedure is:
> 1) load the PDF file (in Acrobat 5, but I gather they have also tested
from the evaluation version of Acrobat 6 and this doesn't resolve the
> problem); 2) select the Docutech 135 printer driver and print to file; 3)
upload the printer file for queuing to the printer. No errors are
> reported at the print to file stage, but the printer file won't then
upload. They report that PDF files generated in earlier versions of
> Acrobat are behaving fine. The Docutech 135 is a Level 2 Postscript
driver. However the files causing problems don't have anything in them
> (e.g. complex vector objects) which you'd expect to require Level 3
Postscript capabilities.
