It will take some work but it is possible. If you open the image (200-600dpi) files in acrobat (in my case 6) you can then do "paper capture" under the document pull down and the file will be converted from raster data to characters with fonts.

I have a huge no of pdf files with the text of the entire file taken as image. The document does not show any "fonts" or shows for a few pages and the rest of the pages are in image format. Can some one help me with:

1. Can these "text as image" pages/files be changed to text pages where it will show the fonts and make it editable? Is there any plug-in or software for this?
2. I have to convert the entire lotof these pdfsinto doc format. The problem is how tocompare the two formats (pdf and doc)for accuracy?
