There is only one PostScript driver under Windows 2000/XP/Server 2003.
What differs is the parameterization of same as related to information
in the PPD file associated with a given PostScript printer driver instance.
I suspect that your "problems" are associated with bugs in Excel's output
of GDI (which the driver translates into PostScript). The problematic
parameter MAY be the device resolution. Try changing the device resolution
of the Distiller's PostScript printer driver instance (i.e. "Adobe PDF" or
"Acrobat Distiller") to 600 dpi instead of 1200 dpi. That may make a
significant difference.
