Two questions; two answers. 1. I'm sending you privately a PDF which shows a side-by-side comparison of the differences in AB 6 Standard and Pro. You need to look at them one-by-one, and see what works best for you. 2. When you buy Acrobat 6, it is a full version...it's not like a service pack, for example. I am at the point where I really need to step up from Acrobat 5.0 to Acrobat 6.0. I am trying to figure out if I need Standard or Pro. Generally speaking, I write technical manuals and training programs, where the final product is a PDF to be printed. Sometimes, my clients like to have them available to their customers via the web as well. I do most of my development using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint (driven by customer requirements, personally I would prefer to use something more stable than Word, like FrameMaker). I also generate some PDFs from Visio Technical. On occasion, I create some simple forms. I don't do any programming. Also, I would like to see if anyone out there has had any problems when just doing an upgrade, rather than buying the full version. I realize that Adobe isn't Microsoft, but I know I have had some problems in the past when upgrading from one version of a Microsoft product to the new version. I wish I had just bought the full version.
