If you just can't cut out the carbs, and you don't have Acrobat 6 yet (you should get it), you can save the pdf as a postscript file (.ps) and redistill the file using the "Screen" job option with the compression settings set to the default 72 dpi. Keep in mind that if you have images in the pdf they will be very low resolution and any linking or bookmarks that might be in the original pdf will be lost. ~James __________________________________________________________________ Go Atkins. Sorry, I had never heard the term "lighter" in regards to a PDF before. AB 6 has a built-in optimizer. You can downsample images "and" change the compatibility (i.e., AB6, 5, 4).
