I work in a regulate environment that requires technical reports going to the FDA. We have finalized a number of reports for one client using word and published in Acrobat 5. Now they want to go back and have the files saved to version 4 so that it will be compatible with Prism software.
IF you use Adobe Acrobat Professional 6.0's PDF Optimizer feature in order to take your Acrobat 5 PDF's and then convert them to Acrobat 4 PDF's - all will be fine.
IF, however, you were to remake the PDF's from the original source materials - all bets are off!
