What changes do you mean? The changes in my environment have nothing to do with 
pdfbox itself. I had the problem to run the tests properly because of the 
broken or misconfigured utf-support of my os (x86-gentoo-linux and ubuntu on a 
macbook).
The problem was that I'd run the tests on the commandline. Now, that I'm 
running the tests within my eclipse-environment the utf-issue is gone. But to 
be clear, only the issue with my environment is solved. The issue brian 
reported is still there.
