Leonard,
This is a desktop application.  Some of my users still have PDFWriter installed.  I am also supporting Distiller.  I can not support PDFWriter if there is an incompatibility.  It seems to be more difficult to control the output location programatically for Distiller than PDFWriter as well.

Thank you,
Jeff Ballance

Why are you using PDFWriter instead of Distiller?

My application prints a document using a form overlay.  The overlay is a Windows Meta File that is output to the printer.  The acutal text is then sent to the printer.  However, the area around and between each character has a default background color rather than than the form.  I have set the background mode to Transparent (SetBkMode).  On other printer drivers (HP) it works fine.  Has anyone had seen this and know of a solution?

PDFWriter is outdated, deprecated technology...All bets are off...
