Thanks Aandi. Using the Adobe Distiller printer to create Postscript is completely reliable as opposed to creating a local printer to create the postscript. -----Original Message----- From: Aandi Inston [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, May 28, 2003 12:45 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [PDFdev] PDFWriter Background Text Color PDFdev is a service provided by PDFzone.com | http://www.pdfzone.com _____________________________________________________________ > Is there another reference than the SDK that contains the registry > settings for Distiller? The ones for PDFWriter are documented. Distiller doesn't use the registry. You are probably mixing up Distiller (the application, which has a specific API), with the Distiller Printer (which doesn't, and has no automation method for making PDF). To bridge the gap, simply use standard Windows techniques to print with the Distiller printer to a named file. Then you can use the Distiller API to distill that file.
