I have an application written in vb 6 which uses the pdf.ocx control to view and print pdf files.

PDF.OCX has never been a supported developer tool.

I understand it is not and never has been supported

Reader versions prior to 6 worked fine.

When I upgraded to Reader 6 it stopped working.

Correct. Because folks were using it when Adobe didn't want it to be used, they have >removed it, so you can't use it anymore...

If I am not supposed to use it any more:
Why is the pdf.ocx control installed when I install Acrobat Reader 6?
Why does Adobe continue to update the pdf.ocx control?
Why does the Reder 6 installation overwrite my existing "working" version of the pdf.ocx?

Thank you,
Ron
