I'd suggest using IAC to Acrobat if the methods exposed by Acrobat are sufficient. If
you need more flexibility you can write a plug-in for Acrobat that you access from VB
via OLE. This is definitely doable for Acrobat, but I'm not sure about Reader.

Any suggestions of what I should use to view and print pdf
documents through
a visual basic program?

There seem to be many options in the Acrobat SDK. Most
require Acrobat, of course, not the free Reader.
