According to the Acrobat JavaScript Scripting Reference, the ADBC object is not available for Reader at all (X in the Reader-restriction icon), whereas you are correct that the SOAP object is available with Extended Rights (F in the Reader-restriction icon).

Of course, there is a chance that the documentation is wrong ...

Are you sure about that? Reader 5.1 and 6.0 don't appear to include the
necessary support files (plug-in and ADBC.js).


I am certainly willing to be wrong on this one, but I thought that was part of the forms support that was available with Enabling.


I DO know that SOAP support in Acrobat 6 IS available when Reader enabled, as that issues came up during my European training tour.
