Is such a tool also able to convert a shfill object that is based on spot
colors that need to be simulated?
I have looked at all the possible shfill forms, and it is VERY difficult to
do in postscript, but probably
only slightly less so in a plugin. [ I think one needs to be able to
evaluate a function ]

Especially Type 4,5,6,7 ShadingType look problematic.
