Are you looking to re-write the pdf to another pdf with a transparent background (possibly by adding a Page /Group option)?  Or do you want to merge the two images into a composite pdf?  You may be able to use Photoshop or Illustrator to accomplish that.

I need to overlay a PDF document on top of an image (using an HP Indigo press).

 

As such, I was wondering if there are any developer tools on the Windows platform that would let me convert a PDF document to one with a transparent background?

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
