Well in that case - we have a great solution for you!

We have a product called VPSflow which will take up to 16 1 bit TIFF files (Screened High res) and will combine them into a PDF/X file.
It can down sample the TIFF files to any resolution - with high quality interpolation - to produce a low res PDF file or it can combine them at full resolution for a full quality PDF file.  It can crop and rotate the TIFF data and these croppings can be set up as output packages. You can have as many output packages as you want for a single set of TIFF files to effectively allow you to convert a full plate sized set of TIFF files into a group of PDF files - one for each page in the job.

It also support JDF files coming from Imposition programs like Preps or Signastation to automate this "de-imposition" process.

There are several more features it supports as well AND it is certainly NOT Free!

But its affordable!

Hi,

FYI for all the developers on this list. We at Novartis won't  use free software, not because of any quality issues, but rather that we are willing to pay to have someone responsible for the software if there is a problem.

It's alot more costly for us to search around for a fix, or do it ourselves. It's counter-intuitive, but that's the reality.
