Wow! This is the $64,000.00 question!

We need to do this, too, and we've been trying to find a way to do it for
several years. Our Web-based ASP application (www.ReplyMailOnLine.com)
generates PDF documents that contain U.S. Postal Service bar codes and other
graphics that MUST be printed at 100% scale. Many versions of Adobe Acrobat
and Adobe Acrobat Reader/Adobe Reader are set for "Fit to page" by default,
and this causes tons of problems for us.

I know that we could do some things with JavaScript that would address this,
but the JavaScript-based solutions would not work with Reader, which is what
most of our customers use.

I've had several discussions with Adobe's technical people about this, and
I've also suggested that Adobe stop enabling "Fit to page" by default in
future product releases.

The last time I talked about this with a technical person at Adobe, I was
told, "It's always better to print a document at the largest size that will
fit on the page." I then explained to him why it is NOT always better. :)

If anyone has any ideas about how to deal with this issue, I'd like to hear
about it.

Also, if others in this group would make an effort to contact Adobe's people
about this problem, maybe things will change for the better down the road.
