Hmmm. Unfortunately that doesn't work when I launch pdfedit with a file
:-(
Does anyone know if there's another way to do this? I thought putting
it in init.qs might do the trick, but no such luck :-(

This might help someone else one day: I wanted to hide the console
automatically, and I couldn't find a setting for it, so I edited
/usr/local/share/pdfedit/callbacks.qs like this, which hides it when I
load a document:
