Hi, my main use of pdfedit is the extraction of PDF figures from documents I reference. Now, my current workflow is this -
- Dump the page containing the figure from the original document with pdftk: pdftk A=<source>.pdf cat A<pageno> output <dest>.pdf - Open <dest>.pdf in pdfedit. - Use the coordinate display (set to pt) to figure out the coordinates of the corners of the figure - Type those coordinates into the "Edit page metrics" dialog to crop. - Save the PDF. While this works, I wouldn't mind doing it in a less cumbersome way. The fact that there are two implementations of page.setMediaBox() makes me suspect it can be done via scripting, but I couldn't figure out how to get the GUI selection rectangle from a script. Is this possible? Also: After I edit the Media Box, pdfedit's display usually goes blank. I can't seem to get it to display the page anymore. It's not directly relevant (since I only save & quit at that point, anyway), but I don't think it's intended that way. ciao, -- [*Thomas Themel*] "Ich nutze die Gelegenheit mal, ein Mißverständnis [extended contact] aus der Welt zu räumen: DU HAST KEIN RECHT AUF [info provided in] EIN COOLES LEBEN.
