I attempted a clean install of 2.008-rc1 on a OS X 10.10.1 VM, via CPAN. I completely cleaned ~/.cpan and started a new local::lib.
'make' works OK. 'make test' passes, but complained about unsatisfied "REQUIRED prerequisites" (are there any other kind?), specifically Module::Compile was missing. So even though 'make test' had 'Result: PASS', install did not proceed because 'make test' returned a bad status. I didn't think I would be able to get to 'make' with unsatisfied Runtime Requirements.
