We discussed it about a decade ago. :-) Other than that there is no plan, I think everyone gave up waiting for perl6 to happen.
I see there is now an official release, it might be time to start at least testing (porting?) the PDL Core against it. This would make much more sense once it has been re-factored along the lines Chris Marshall was discussing.
