The 24bpp means 24 bits-per-pixel meaning 3 bytes for every pixel, most likely
that is 1 byte or 8 bits for each RGB channel.
Calculating from your image size of 768x512 pixel leads to 1.179.648 bytes.
The 83.215 bytes is probably after JPEG compression ...
(and I can't find a reference/relation to the 28K mentioned)
