After his "SERIOUSLY UNSCIENTIFIC REASONING WAS APPLIED", Fred estimated
the focal length at close focus of one of the very few lenses CdI has
every canonized ( ;^) ) with a 5/5/5 star rating as, "For close shots of
bricks: 81.4 mm - FA* 85/1.4", which agrees closely with the
measurements posted by Pop Photo (April, '93): 81.39mm. Not bad.

(BTW, I thought that Amateur Photographer put the 77 Limited at just
over 78mm, and not far from the 79 that would have made sense in Reverse
Pentax Notation, or something. . . )
