Hi
The largest Digital P&S Nikons (900 something) are also maganesium. It's
difficult to tell it's not plastic!

Well it sure is not bare metal.  I did not try to scratch it or
anything. The frame is magnesium.  But the covers don't feel
like it.  I got the impression you could hammer nails with the
thing, how rugged do you think a camera needs to be?
