I would assume it has "the usual" issues because it is, of course, a built-in flash on a relatively compact camera. The flash can be turned off quite easily (also can be combined with ambient light, by the way) and it also has the "red- eye reduction" pre-flash mode, which I never ever use, but if someone out there finds that mode useful, it's there.
