Thank you for the info. In my search, I've also read about a product
called ASPEC. If I can find one of them, the one you have told me about,
or ASPEC, I'll try it in one of the slides whose content is not
valuable, and I'll see what happens.

This has also been my thought. They've been stored in South East Brazil
for many years, and there the climate favours mould growth.

That's one of the reasons to scan them, to preserve those images before
they are too damaged.
