Not everybody wants your "classic" combination, and it doesn't cover my 
needs. Most people here also buy used. With Canon and Nikon you can buy 
just about any collection of used AF lenses in 10 minutes on the net. 
Since I'm in the US, I'm only interested in prices here.
I'm sure that you can set up any self serving examples to prove what 
every point you want.
