i'm accumulating images at the rate of about 5000/year. that is a minimum rate for anyone trying to sell photos as editorial stock and make some money. this is about 1/4 the expected rate for someone who intends to make about half their income from selling stock photos. all of it has to be cataloged. Galen Rowell's Mountain Light stock photography business is just under half a million images, all taken by him and his wife.
TIFF files import really slowly too. you are not going to save your scans as JPG files.
