Thanks for answering so soon, Arnold. This makes me happier, and I can now deselect "rant-mode", and withdraw my recent complaints. I'm sympathetic to those who prefer to have the camera's meter and especially Av mode available with their classic lenses, and I hope that either a work-around is devised or a better specified version of the *istD follows shortly.
