We have seen lenses for release with no aperture ring, and camera bodies that won't work with a lens with an operating aperture ring. The trend away from compatability is in place now, and has a better chance of continuing than not. Besides, I will be much happier to be proven wrong than if I thought compatability will continue and was proven wrong. William Robb
