But it sounds like a lab problem to me. You don't get scratch this way with 2 or 3 frames only in the middle of the roll.

I don't have MZ-S, but you can try to load a flesh set of scratch free film and the rewind it with leader out. See if there is any scratch. You should know the result instantly.

A question for the MZ-S owners out there.


Have you ever experienced scratches on the outside (not the emulsion side) of the film?

I have and I'm suspecting my MZ-S is to blame. Could you please take a
look at this picture and tell me what you think.

The scratch you see runs through the entire roll. On the other hand I
took 10 rolls the same day this was taken and only this roll and one
other were affected. The other affected roll had two or three negs
scratched, not the entire roll.

Any great ideas before I send it to the repair shop?
