I find that too,Bruce.With the plastic sleeves i bought,i can get 3 6x6 per line and 
2
6x7 per line and
for the most part fit into the carrier pretty flat(except last roll,it had a curl to 
it.)
Ya i find 35mm negs a bit sharper than 35mm slides too.

I was just looking at a site in the us for "the slide printer".Anyone use them???Seems
they do 
conventional prints from scans or inkjet prints too.
