Hi Keith ... I have a 3v lith in my newer LX, and it's been pumping out the current faithfully for a bit more than two years. Unfortunately, there's no model/size designation that I can find on the battery.
Varta is no longer making or selling batteries here. They have been taken over by Rayovac and many stores in the area no longer carry them as they fear (maybe they know) a drop in quality. Anyway, the silver oxide bats in one of my LX gave out yesterday right in the middle of shooting, and since it's replacement time, I'd like to go with the definitely (for me) longer lasting lithiums. A volt is a volt, what diff should it make if it comes from a lith or an alkaline or silver oxide battery? shel Keith Whaley wrote: > The owner's manual says to use two 1.5 v alkaline (A76) or silver oxide > (EPX76) mini-batteries. > I can find no prohibition against the use of lithium batteries. > However silver oxide batteries last so long, and are so plentiful, I see > no reason to go to lithium. . . > My LX came with Varta V76PX batteries and they are still working fine, > so I haven't changed them yet! > > keith whaley > > Ann Sanfedele wrote: > > > > Shel Belinkoff wrote: > > > > > I'd like to get a couple of sets of 3V Lithium batteries for the LX. > > > Anyone know what what the proper model/size designation is for those > > > bats? > > > > > > shel > > > > Maybe I'm misremembering, but I thought you were not supposed to use the > > lithium batteries in the LX > > > > OF course, my LX is over 20 years old > > > > ann
