I meant in real life. If they did talk like that, they used a lot more slang than we do today. Bogy did it best in the films.

Five novels, all of them made into films, some several times. I never saw The "Red Harvest", have seen the other 4. Though I understand there were two makes of "The Maltese Falcon" before Bogy did it, never saw them either.

Wonder if I could come up with recordings of those Radio Shows you mentioned? They would be fun to hear.

As I said I am rereading his novels right now, and have a book of his short stories to read when I finish them. Finished The Red Harvest last night and started on The Dain Curse today. Many hours of fun there.
