It's not just about this list.
If one were silly enough to Google my name, the first item one would see is my PDML Self Portrait (the famous bunny ears! <g>). The next bunch of entries are a few of my posts to PDML and the LUG.
Now, certainly, only a few of my posts on various lists' archives come up on a Google search, and I have no idea how they choose what comes up or not. The point is that posting, even on a small and relatively intimate list like this ~can~ have the effect of communicating to the whole world.
Just so we all keep that in mind.

In a way they are public, but in another way, and in the way we may normally think about it, it's not public like it would be in statements made in a newspaper, a magazine, on the radio or on television.<snip>
I guess it's not likely that just anyone outside this list will read what's being said here, but if bad comes to worse, things may turn out in a way they were not intended to.
