On 3/1/04, [EMAIL PROTECTED] disgorged: >Was thinking about Tan's product photo's and got to thinking >about my old light table and how much fun it would be to >have another. >Has anyone ever built there own? >From what I can see it is simple some white acrylic bent into a table.
Many years ago I made a wooden box about 2 feet by one, about 6 inches high and had a white translucent acrylic cut to size. Inside was painted white with a small pair of warm florescent tubes. It worked a treat and cost me the florries, holders, wiring - had the wood already. Pair of handles and it was great. Too heavy thought, to be portable. If I was going to do it again, I'd make it bigger and permanent. Or do what I did much later: bought a cheap and cheerful plastic portable lightbox from a photo dealer. It's gathering dust now.
