It's always good to complain. Praise is nice, but Pentax can only learn from complaints. From a business (and pedagogical, for that matter) POV, complaints are more valuable than praise.
OTOH, I do think that most of us would recommend the *ist D, which is the practical version of praise. Like someone here has already said, the very existence of the firmware upgrade is a very reassuring event.
